A Little Background On South Charlottesville
|
|
|
South of the University of Virginia you will find Scott Stadium, Jefferson Park Avenue, the University
Hospital and Medical Facility and Azalea Park. This area is mainly residential with many of the
neighborhoods built in the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's. Yet this area has recently been targeted by local
and national builders such as Ryan Homes and Hauser Homes and many new, trendy neighborhoods have popped
up adjacent to these older Charlottesville neighborhoods.
The real estate south of UVA is made up of many older smaller homes, in large sprawling subdivisions.
You will also find older townhouse and condo complexes. Among these older neighborhoods are several
"pocket" neighborhoods that are currently being developed and offered as an alternative to the older
properties available south of UVA. Prices start at $180,000.
